With Canada’s 150th now in gear, some of our country’s hottest artists are taking the stage right here in the nation’s capital. It may not be summer festival season quite yet in Ottawa, but the NAC Presents Series at the city’s most central venue, the NAC, has more than 30 concerts by some of the best Canadian artists remaining in this year’s 2016-2017 season.

The chance to see some of these artists live is second to none. Not only are some of these musicians some of the most talented in the whole country, but the NAC is one of the best venues to see them in, with its incredible sound quality.

Three artists, in particular, are getting us really excited. Here are just a few of the artists you won’t want to miss when they take the stage at the NAC in the coming months:

Iskwé // March 3

Tickets: $15 ($10 for students). With her booming bass lines and powerful heavy beats, Iskwé’s alternative, dark R&B rhythms were made for live performances. She’s unsurprisingly been dubbed one of the ‘Top 10 Artists to Watch in 2016′ by CBC Music for her unique, unmistakable sound that has drawn considerable influence from her Irish and Cree/Dené roots.

Basia Bulat // March 10

Tickets from $24. JUNO nominated and Toronto-born Basia Bulat comes to Ottawa with her signature autoharp and electrifying, addictive voice. She’s guaranteed to raise your hairs with her energizing music, especially from her most recent album, Good Advice, which was short-listed for the prestigious Polaris Music Prize in 2016.

Jenn Grant // March 25

Tickets from $25. Last, but definitely not least on our list, is three-time JUNO nominee Jenn Grant, who you might know from songs like “Dreamer” and “Heartbreaker.” She took home the award for ‘Solo Recording of the Year’ for her album, Compostela, at the 2016 ECMAs. Just ahead of her NAC concert, she’ll be releasing her newest album, Paradise, on March 3.
