Even though this cute restaurant is no longer located on York St. their delicious sandwiches are still classic. Operating since 1989 this spot is a hit for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Make sure to try the Othello or go wild and make it custom!

2. Gene’s Restaurant // 81 Ontario Street

Home to Stratford’s best Chinese cuisine, Gene’s is a staple to any resident of Stratford. This family run business is known for its amazing food and welcoming atmosphere. Try out the Singapore Noodles, you won’t regret it!

This French-inspired cuisine is out of this world. Revival House has only been in the Stratford food scene for a few years but never disappoints. Grab an antipasto board or a beautiful duck confit!

Not only is Sirkel food one of the hottest brunch/lunch spots in Stratford, their staff is also amazing. Get some of the best sandwiches (made with homemade bread), soups and salads in your life at this local treasure!

Not only does the Annex have beautiful suites to stay in, their restaurants is also amazing. They offer lunch and dinner, plus have their own pizza menu. If you’re vegan or gluten-free don’t worry, many of their dishes can be altered for you!


6. Boomers Gourmet Fries // 26 Erie Street

Hot damn, there is no better place to get poutine in Stratford than Boomers. This local dig even got a spot on John Catucci’s You’ve Gotta Eat Here! so you know that it’s got to be amazing. Get the Poutini Martini for a great mix of everything!

8. Jenn & Larry’s – Brittle n’ Shake’s & Ice Cream // 49 York Street

Yes, we know this isn’t necessarily a restaurant but EVERYONE loves dessert. Jenn & Larry know exactly what we all love by serving up classic treats with a modern twist. This father-daughter now sell pre-made treats so you can enjoy at home!

9. Bentley’s Bar, Inn and Restaurant // 99 Ontario Street

This spot is known for a night out in Stratty but their food is also unreal. With daily specials and a classic menu, everyone will find something to love. We recommend the Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli because it’s spectacular.


10. Raja Fine Indian Cuisine // 10 George Steet West

Once Raja brought Indian cuisine to this town people were hooked. Get your favourite dishes such as Tikka Masala, Vindaloo or Butter Chicken and enjoy their beautiful, welcoming decor.

11. Pazzo // 70 Ontario Street

Not only is Pazzo one of the best spots in town (if not the best), their multilevel restaurant offers an atmosphere for any occasion. Head to the Taverna at street level for a simplified Italian cuisine and the Pizzeria for a classic Italian dinner of pizza or pasta.

13. Features // 159 Ontario Street

This amazing spot is one of Stratford’s best-kept secrets. Only open til 3:00 P.M, Features is the only go-to spot for breakfast after a long night, even being voted best since 2007. Known for the Paul Bunyan, a breakfast so large it’s served on a cookie sheet,  your buttons will be busting after a meal here.

14. Monforte on Wellington // 80 Wellington Street

Monforte took over this cute spot on Wellington after Evergreen Terrace closed down and they surely have not disappointed. Known for their Taco Tuesdays and hilarious inauguration day menu, this restaurant knows how to have fun with its customers. Stop by and check out their menu as it’s always changing!

Located right across from the Avon Theatre, Will’s is the best sport’s bar in town. Not only are the bartender’s sweethearts, their Deep Fried Mac and Cheese and Spinach Dip are off the chain. Take a break from the dip to play some pool, air hockey or even an arcade game in their back room.
