Just a friendly reminder Valentine's Day quickly approaching. So it is time for you to start looking for the perfect place to celebrate. But, with so many options, it can be challenging to decide where to make a reservation. To help you pick, OpenTable announced the most romantic restaurants in Canada for 2020 and many of them are actually in B.C. and Alberta.
According to Matt Davis of OpenTable Canada, "We're alleviating the pressure of finding the right romantic restaurant and leaving it to diners to take it from there."
We couldn't agree more; looking at the 100 date spots, they all sound amazing.
To create the list of romantic venues, they based it on data collected between December 1, 2018, and November 30, 2019. They then looked at over 500,000 diner reviews from more than 3,000 restaurants in Canada.
The overall score was determined by a variety of factors, such as if it had any special features, regional score, and the total number of ratings.
There are restaurants from seven provinces and 31 cities.
Those dating in Alberta are particularly fortunate as there 21 establishments on the list so they can enjoy ample options.
After a glance at all the locations, you'll notice the common theme is Italian food and steakhouses.
But if a juicy steak or carbs aren't for you, there are also lots of other options like Peruvian, Spanish, Japanese, and Greek.
There is no top place winner for the best in Canada. Instead, all the locations appear in alphabetic order on their website.
If you do plan on dining out on February 14, it would be a good idea to make a reservation now.
Even if you already have plans, it's worth keeping these places in your back pocket for your next birthday celebration or special occasion when you want a place to go that you know will be good.
