For the perfect picnic spot head to Flowerpot Island in Fathom Five National Marine Park this summer. The island is named after its natural "flowerpot" rock pillars, and here you can enjoy swimming in the clear water.
Sleeping Giant Provincial Park

Devil's Punchbowl Conservation Area
For a stunning hike head to the Devil's Punchbowl Conservation Area. Within the park, you'll find the Devil's Punch Bowl which is an impressive multi-coloured gorge with a 37-meter waterfall!
One of the most incredible lakes you'll find in Ontario is Heart Lake near Ompah. As the name implies, the lake is shaped like a heart and is best viewed from above, such as by using a drone.
Point Pelee National Park
Head to Point Pelee National Park to stroll along the floating boardwalk trail. The 1 km loop trail will give you amazing views of the marsh and surrounding forests. Along the path, you'll also see lots of birds and turtles too.
After being closed to the public for a few years, the Cheltenham Badlands is now open again to the public. Along the trail, you can enjoy the views of the surreal red clay hills.
The famous horseshow falls at the Canada U.S border are always a breathtaking sight to behold. Niagara Falls is 3 waterfalls next to each other, with the largest being 790 metres wide!
Eagle's Nest Lookout
You won't believe the view from the top of Eagle's Nest Lookout. The lookout point is on a 1.5 km trail in Calabogie Peaks. The easy hiking trail will take through a forested path before taking you to the top of a 120-metre cliff.
Bring your friends and to the family-owned Saunders Farm. At the 100 acre farm, they have the most extensive collection of hedge and puzzle mazes in the world. For a fun activity, see how long it takes you and your pals to escape each of the hedge mazes.
Torrance Barrens Dark Sky Preserve
Within the city, due to the amount of light pollution, it can be challenging to see the stars. If you want to spend an evening stargazing, head to Torrance Barrens Dark Sky Preserve for the most fantastic view of the stars. The area is the world’s first permanent Dark Sky Reserve. Here you can capture stunning photos of the Milky Way.
In Ontario, you can find the world's largest baymouth barrier dune formation! The vast dune is within At Sandbanks Provincial Park and is 12km of golden sand. The Sandbanks sand dune makes the perfect road trip destination to go with your friends, as after you explore the dune you can go swimming at the nearby beaches which have clear blue water.
White Water Walk
At White Water Walk you can stand at a lookout point where you can feel class 6 rapids rush past you. The water here is so powerful, that it travels at 48km/hr!
