It's a new decade, which means a ton of nostalgia. While many actors have never been to the Academy Awards, others have shown up multiple times. Thanks to the internet, we can see actors from the first to the last time they attend the awards. And the 2020 Oscars have us wondering if Canadian celebs ever age.

A few Canadians have taken home an Oscar. True Blood actress Anna Paquin from Winnipeg won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress when she was just 11 years old. However, she hasn't been back on the red carpet since. 

Aside from Paquin, a handful of Canadians have been nominated such as Rachel McAdams back in 2016. Although the winners are few and far between, celebs from the Great White North show up yearly and never disappoint.

The Weeknd 

The above photo of The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel, is from 2016. Later in 2016 is when he released his hit album Starboy, according to Rolling Stone.

Rachel McAdams

Back in 2016, Rachel McAdams stunned in an emerald green dress. According to HuffPost, she was nominated for Best Actress In A Supporting Role for her movie, Spotlight.

Michael J. Fox

Not only was Michael J. Fox at the 2017 Academy Awards, but he was also a presenter alongside Seth Rogen, The Hollywood Reporter notes. The two hilariously sang "The Schuyler Sisters" from the musical, Hamilton.

Seth Rogen

Seth Rogen seems hasn't aged in years. As stated above, he presented alongside the Back to the Future actor and even wore Nike Mags along with his suit, Footwear News claims.

Ryan Gosling 

Also at the 2017 Oscars was Ryan Gosling. The 39-year-old from London, Ontario was nominated for Best Actor for his role in La La Land according to PopSugar.

At the 80th Annual Academy Awards, the Halifax native was nominated for Best Actress for her movie Juno. According to Insider, the dramedy was nominated for four awards however only won for Best Original Screenplay.
