Watching the Nutcracker is a cherished classic Christmas tradition. This winter, you can experience the Nutcracker first-hand at a real-life Christmas castle in Toronto. If your date loves watching the Nutcracker ballet, then you need to bring them to Casa Loma's Christmas. Together, the two of you can enjoy a romantic date exploring the fairytale castle.
From the beginning of December until January 5, 2020, you can check out the mansion's "A Nutcracker Christmas at the Castle." For this event, the magical venue will transform into a holiday wonderland.
Inside, it will be easy to feel like you've stepped into a sugar plum fairy wonderland. Throughout the month, the place will be fully decked out in stunning seasonal decor.
In the grand hall, you can see a giant Christmas tree. Plus, there will be several other beautifully decorated trees created by local designers.
You won't want to miss the specular performances Casa Loma has planned. You'll be able to enjoy shows from illusionist Professor Wick and ice skating by Glisse on Ice.
From December 16 until December 30, 2019, you'll also be able to stroll through Casa Loma at night when the garden will be illuminated with festive light displays.
Together with your date, you can wander the garden that looks like it came straight from a Hallmark movie. Seeing all the twinkling lights is sure to put you in the holiday spirit.
Outside, there will be an incredible Christmas market. You'll also be able to enjoy performances by the Casa Loma's orchestra and fire entertainers.
The Nutcracker Christmas at the Castle is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. between December 1, 2019, to January 5, 2020.
The nightly events will occur from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. between December 16, 2019, to December 30, 2019.
Casa Loma will close early on Christmas Eve and remain closed on Christmas Day.
