4 BC Lavender Farms To Visit This Summer If You Are Obsessed With All Things Purple

Everything is better in purple. If you are obsessed with all things lavender, it is time to get excited. Now that tulip and cherry blossom season is over; it is all about the endless rows of sweet-smelling flowers in your favourite colour. To help you find the most breathtaking spots, we've made a list of B.C. lavender farms that you can visit magical fields of blooms this summer.

There is nothing better than breathing in the relaxing scent of the fresh purple flowers. Typically they start to blossom in mid-June and last well into the summer, but the exact times are up to mother nature.

One thing is for sure; you won't want to miss the chance to visit one of these local farms. There are going to be so many incredible photo ops that you'll have tons of content for Instagram for months to come.

When you are at any of the farms, you'll also want to stock up on calming essential oils or dried lavender to help you unwind at home and asleep faster. But you can also pick up supplies to mix into your baking or even boozy cocktails too.

You might think if you've seen one garden, you've seen them all, but each offers something unique. For example, you can wander through a labyrinth at Tuscan Farm Gardens while treating yourself to a scoop of lavender ice cream.

Damali Lavender & Winery

Address: 3500 Telegraph Rd., Cobble Hill, BC

Why You Need To Go: You can enjoy incredible photo ops at Damali Lavender & Winery by going on a self-guided tour of their garden, which is bursting with purple blooms.

They will be open on weekends starting in June and will post updates on their website about their hours.

Sacred Mountain Lavender

Address: 401 Musgrave Rd., Salt Spring Island, BC

Why You Need To Go: It is one of the most breathtaking farms in B.C., and they aim to be open by mid-June. In the summer, you can explore the fields that bloom until September.

While there, you'll also want to stop by the shop to stock up on all your lavender basics to bring home.

Tuscan Farm Gardens

Address: 6834 Mount Lehman Rd., Abbotsford, BC

Why You Need To Go: You won't want to miss visiting Tuscan Farm Gardens from June to July when it will be open to the public. You can explore the breathtaking labyrinth of approximately 2000 lavender plants.

Before you leave, make sure to get a delicious scoop of their lavender ice cream.

Full Bloom Lavender

Why You Need To Go: Conveniently located just one hour from Vancouver, you can visit the rows upon rows of lilac hued flowers. Flowers tend to start around mid-June but last well into the summer as they have several types of plants with different bloom times.
