The Umbrella Academy
Rating: 77% on Rotten Tomatoes
The Umbrella Academy took Netflix by storm last summer when the first season was released. What was once people's favorite comic book series has become a successful TV show with millions of fans worldwide. Not only did The Umbrella Academy cast Canadian actors, but they also filmed right here in Toronto!
While most of the exterior shots of the show were filmed at Pinewood Toronto Studios, we're lucky that the Hargreeves liked to spend some time outside. If you take a trip downtown and are near the University of Toronto, make sure you look around. The Umbrella Academy used a lot of the downtown campus to film.
They also spent a lot of time filming on Queen Street West. Just walking down the street will greet you with buildings like Griddy's Doughnuts and Vonya's neighborhood.
There are also some exterior shots that couldn't be replicated, meaning you can actually visit the inside! The Elgin Theatre on Yonge Street served as the final moments of the entire season, and the Lillian H. Smith Public Library on College Street was also used quite a few times!

Once Upon A Time
Rating: 80% on Rotten Tomatoes
Although Once Upon A Time ended last year after a seven-season run, their fans are still in full force. Filming for the show took place in a little town outside of Vancouver called Steveston. What makes this filming location so special is you get the full Storybrooke experience. The town is exactly like the magical one we see on our screens.
If you take a trip to Steveston, you'll be able to visit Town Hall, Granny's Diner, The Docks, Belle's Library, Gold's Pawn Shop, and literally any building you saw while watching the show. The town residences also totally embrace the show's fans and have tours with gift shops all set up for visitors!

The Schitt's Creek filming location is very similar to Once Upon a Time - it's an entire town! The only difference being Schitt's Creek was filmed on the east coast, just outside of Toronto. Although the show just wrapped filming their last season, making a trip to the set is definitely still worth it.
The town they used is called Goodwood, Ontario. Taking a trip to this town will definitely give you a good feel of what it was like filming Schitt's Creek and becoming the Roses. You can visit David's Apothecary, the Rosebud Motel, Town Hall, and many other important Schitt's Creek buildings!

Riverdale doesn't exactly have a specific town you can visit, but it does have quite a few filming locations you can travel to in Canada. The show is filmed in Vancouver and usually sticks to the more residential areas of the city.
Riverdale High is actually a high school in Vancouver that you can visit called John Oliver Secondary School! The exterior of the characters' homes are also scattered around Vancouver. You can visit Archie's, Veronica's, and Betty's homes.
The rest of the show is filmed in studio in Vancouver!

Suits also filmed here in Toronto! And with one of their leading ladies recently becoming actual Royalty, I'm sure there has been a spike in tourists trying to find every filming location she's ever been at.
Lucky for them, the show filmed on literally any part of the financial district they could. Suits didn't have set filming locations in Toronto, instead, they were all over the place. The Ritz Carleton was a big hotspot for them, and they often filmed shots that included the Trump Hotel in the back round. The old city hall was used quite frequently as a filming location for the show as well.
