You might be hearing that fall is here with all the talk about cardigans and fall fashion, but we're about to bust open a little conspiracy. Fall is totally not even here yet. Because, according to science, summer doesn’t end until September 22nd. So there are still loads of things we can do in the next few weeks to savor those sultry summer vibes. And if you're in denial about it summer being over, so are we.

Here's how we soak up every moment of summer:

1. Cruise the afternoon on a kayak

While you might not be going swimming as much as earlier in the season, there is no reason to shun your favorite rivers and lakes. Grab a canoe or kayak and enjoy the gorgeous province of Ontario in all its glory. Whether it’s an afternoon or a weekend away, spend the rest of summer on the water.

2. Weekend getaway to Muskoka

If you’ve made the right choices in life, you’re bound to have a friend or two keen to rent a cottage in the storybook setting of Muskoka. Get your besties, hire a car and get ready for a weekend of relaxing in the sun, long walks by the river, and unwinding by the grill with a cool Rickard's Radler. This bright lager layered with sweet and zesty flavors of lemon and grapefruit juice is perfect for your Muskoka escape.

3. Hiking the stunning Ontario trails

With so many hiking trails in Ontario, there is no reason not to get out and make the most of them while it's still summer. If you’re a newbie to hiking or if you’ve been doing it for years, there are trails for all skill sets. When you get home and pull off those hiking boots, you know you’ve earned yourself a cold and refreshing Rickard's Radler.

4. Get up close with nature by treetop trekking

For adventurers, there are still heaps of summer activities to make the most of. You don’t need to travel far in Ontario to find an amazing tree top trekking adventure. The weather is still fantastic, so head to the top of the sun-kissed canopy, channel your inner Tarzan and/or Jane and glide through the forest on a zip line.

5. Summer flavor feast on the grill

A big weekend getaway might not be within everyone’s budget. But you can keep the sunshine feeling with a summer-inspired barbecue. Chef apron? Tongs? Summer vibes? All set!

Even if you don’t have a grill to create lamb chops or ribs, delight your taste buds with homemade sliders or marinated shrimp over grilled romaine. Aaaaahhhmazing.

6. Bring summer inside with a cozy fire

Okay, so even if some of us might feel the great outdoors is turning a little too cardigan-friendly, it doesn’t mean we can’t bring the golden glow of summer to our place.

Stoke up your fireplace, share a round of Rickard’s Radler and bring on the sticky, messy deliciousness of smores to your home.

7. Rent a private island and weekend it up

Okay, so let’s get serious about celebrating the last of summer. Let’s go big and bold, how about RENTING YOUR OWN PRIVATE ISLAND. Over the top? Maybe, but it’s actually super affordable. And bonus: No noisy neighbors. No city traffic. Just sunshine and the soothing sounds of being surrounded by water. If that’s not the most epic way to spend your weekend, I don’t know what is.

Not only is summer still here, but it is time to seize the daytime. Get outside, go exploring, hire a cottage, have a barbecue with your besties. At the end of the day, unwind with a Rickard’s Radler and make the most of every second of summer.
