But the best time to see every shade in the rainbow is from June to August because once the warm weather comes it feels like our province is exploding colour. The next time you are looking for something to do, we found wildly colourful B.C. places to go this summer that are perfect for your next weekend adventure.

No matter what your favourite hue is, from cotton candy pink to lime green, you can find it outdoors. One of our top picks, vibrant spots across the province would have to be our local gardens.

Starting August, you'll be able to visit the Chilliwack Sunflower Festival, where there are 17 acres of golden blooms. It makes for a cute spot to take selfies with your BFF.

Summer wouldn't be complete without ice cream, and Casa Gelato in Vancouver is a must-visit to beat the heat.

Inside, there is a mindblowing selection of 238 flavours of gelato that comes in every tint such as mint green to stop sign red.

For a budget-savvy option, you can also go on a mural walking tour around where you live. One of our favourites Alley Oop which makes us smile no matter how many times we visit.

Sacred Mountain Lavender Farm

Why You Need To Go: From late June until mid-August, you can stroll through the blooming field of lavender. The dreamy garden is 2 acres in size and has 60 different types of purple flowers.

Jukebox Printing

Why You Need To Go: Outside of the printshop you'll find a vibrant wall with coloured stripes in all your favourite colours. It makes for a fantastic spot to take a selfie.

Casa Gelato
