However, when one of our favourite stars sat down with Rolling Stone magazine, she might have given too much away about the new season. Everyone's favourite "Mother of Dragons" Emilia Clarke gave a reminiscent interview about her time on GOT and discussed the future of Khalessi with the franchise.

*SPOILER, READ NO FURTHER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE CRUSHED* but when Emilia spoke of season 8, whether or not we would see an end to Khalessi's journey Emilia had this to say, " I have no doubt there'll be prequels an sequels and who knows what else. But I'm doing one more season and then that'll be it."

While Emilia didn't clarify whether or not Khalessi will be killed off, or if she's simply walking away from the role all together, GOT fans now know that there is no "Mother-of-all Spin-Offs" coming their way. We can only hope that Khalessi gets her place on the iron throne, or at least dies a graceful death in the arms of one Jon Snow.
