This Charming Ontario Lighthouse Is Like A Mini Floating Castle On The Water

This will brighten your day! We found the cutest little lighthouse in Ontario and it looks like a castle literally floating on the lake. So if your wanderlust is getting the best of you, be sure to add this hidden gem to your bucket list ASAP!

Located on the rocky shores of Lake Erie, the Port Abino Lighthouse is sure to take your breath away.

Surrounded by blue waters and gorgeous greenery, there’s so much beauty to bask in here.

Tours of the lighthouse are typically available throughout the summer months, but at the time of writing, Port Abino is closed until further notice.

Be sure to check the lighthouse website for updates, though, because you won’t want to miss out when this spot reopens.

The building hasn’t actually operated as a lighthouse since 1995 and is now considered a Natural Historic Site.

Known for its unusual shape and intricate classic details, this is one of the most unique lighthouses you can find in the province.

And when water levels are high, this original building genuinely looks like it’s floating on the water.

It’s truly dreamy.

So if you need a little light in your life, take a look at this place.

Tours are currently on pause but are normally available on select dates between June and September.

Currently, the 2020 tour prices are listed at $6 per person.

Not too shabby for a place as wonderful as this, if you ask us.

The bright white building and striking red door stand out beautifully against the surrounding waters.

And although it’s seen a few structural and exterior restorations over the years, the original details still remain.

Of course, this building is just one of the many charming lighthouses in Ontario for you to explore.

But something about this gem stands out from the pack.

So, whenever you next can, float on over here own for a magical day trip.
