A Massive FREE Hot Air Balloon Festival Is Coming To Texas Next Month

Get ready to take the ride of a lifetime because McAllen is hosting a hot air balloon festival and polo match. The festival will be hosted on April 13 at Springfest Park 3501 S 23rd St from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
At the festival, you will find yourself surrounded by an array of different hot air balloons and well as food, wine, live music and a polo match. If you're not a huge fan of heights but would still like to join in the fun, the event also offers tethered rides so you'll always be close to the ground.
The event is free but the event website suggests you purchase your pass early to ensure your ride. Passes can range from $5 to $1,300 depending on the pass. If Texas weather decided it is no the day for a hot air balloon ride, tethered pass holders will be upgraded to a complimentary champagne dinner.
Balloons will start getting air on Saturday at around 7 a.m. The tethered rides will begin at 4 p.m. and last until 9 p.m. on the polo field.
The festival is traveling one and after they visit McAllen they will make a stop in Austin. Additionally, the event is pet-friendly so feel free to bring your best furry friend along with you.
