The Strangers left audiences screaming for more when it premiered in 2008. Now, the trailer for the long-awaited sequel is out, and it's going to leave you screaming much, much louder.

The first film was an instant horror classic, a horrible tale of masked killers tormenting a pair of lovers, played by Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman. A decade on, the home invasion thrills, chills and kills cult horror hit has announced the upcoming release of its sequel.

The follow-up is in the form of franchise reboot The Strangers: Prey at Night, and it looks absolutely terrifying.

In the film, a family takes a road trip and stays with some relatives along the way. When they arrive at their trailer park destination, they find it mysteriously deserted. Everyone's favourite three masked killers (that aren't from The Purge) - The Man in the Mask, Pin-Up Girl, and Dollface, then start following and terrorizing the family.

The trailer starts off with Bailee Madison’s character, Kinsey, trying to start an abandoned police car. The Man in the Mask then pulls up next to her and starts playing Tiffany's "I Think We’re Alone Now" - yup, that song will never be the same. If you're looking for star power, Mad Men's Christina Hendricks also stars in the film.

You can watch The Strangers: Prey at Night and all your favourite scary-ass masks in Canadian theatres on March 9th, 2018.
