Tidal bores are a rare phenomenon that happen in only a few locations around the world. On April 8, 2020, the curious occurrence was captured on camera in Moncton, New Brunswick.
The phenomenon happens when the tide rolls in a wave that travels up a river or a very narrow bay but against the direction of the natural current.
