Today is the day! Saturday, July 20 (AKA today) is A&W's free root beer day in Canada.  That's right, if you walk into any single A&W location today you can get a nice, refreshing glass of root beer and it will be completely free. It doesn't get any better, or cheaper, than that! 

The company, which is known for its iconic root beer, confirmed to Narcity that the promotion is taking place across all of Canada to celebrate Free Root Beer Day. 

Usually, when you hear of deals this amazing, it's too true good to be true but that's not the case this time because there isn't even a catch to this freebie. There are no coupons or apps to download, you can get a free root beer just for showing up. It's even a no purchase necessary kind of deal. 

The only limitations A&W had put in place is that you're only allowed one glass of root beer per person and you can't substitute it for any other items, it's root beer or nothing.

Given the fact that A&W's delicious root beer is now made with completely natural flavours and sugars, we doubt anyone is complaining about the no substitutions rule.
