Netflix Announces Another Adam Sandler Comedy After ‘Murder Mystery’ Was Watched By 73 Million People
Seems like Adam Sandler's deal with Netflix isn't over yet! The contract signed back in 2015 involving a four-movie deal is continuing its legacy. This comes as no surprise considering his last movie that also starred Jennifer Anniston, Murder Mystery, has been watched by 73 million people so far. Adam Sandler's newest Netflix comedy was just announced and it's Halloween themed!
The new film doesn't have a title yet, but it does have one heck of a cast. Joining Adam Sandler will be iconic SNL and Billy Madison actors like Maya Rudolph, Kevin James, Kenan Thompson, Julie Bowen, and Steve Buscemi.
Not only is Sandler acting and producing, but he also co-wrote the screenplay that follows Salem, Massachusetts native Hubie Dubois. Hubie is somewhat of the town jokester that no one takes seriously until it's up to him to save Halloween and Salem's long-running traditions.
Although millions of people have been tuning in to all of Sandlers Netflix hits, especially Murder Mystery, critics have been giving the comedian a hard time. New York Times called it, "an updated but sluggish version of clue" and it's 46% on Rotten Tomatoes isn't too great either.
Hopefully, Adam Sandler hits the mark for critics with his new Halloween comedy!
