Adorable Tiny House Village Resorts In Florida Are Taking Over The State

They say good things come in small packages, but let’s be real — that saying probably brings up images of a nice ring or some ear pods, not necessarily a vacation. Here in the Sunshine State, though, that couldn’t be further from the truth, thanks to a pretty sweet tiny house vacation rental company that’s spreading all over the state. This unique resort in Florida is building the most adorable glamping villages everywhere from Key West to Orlando, and the result is a handful of super charming spots for your next getaway.

Are you ready to downsize your stay to upsize your vaycay?

Petite Retreats is a Chicago-based company with dozens of yurt and tiny home villages across America. Floridians are particularly lucky, though, because there are three petite retreat spots scattered across the state.

Current locations include Long Key, Kissimmee and, most recently, Big Pine Key, but the company is looking to expand to a bunch of other Florida cities.

Grab your bae, your bestie or your whole squad and get ready to spend a weekend exploring a new corner of the state, from a totally adorable home.

Whether you're in the mood to spend a beachy weekend sipping cold beers with island views or are feeling a different kind of magic (can you say Disney?), there is definitely a village that will help you unwind just the way you like.

The actual lodgings vary depending on the location. All three spots have larger “colorful cottages” too, which are — according to the company — meant to be enjoyed with your cocktail of choice.

Don’t mind if I do.

These rentals start at $129 per night and can sleep up to six people. This basically means that you and up to five friends can dive into a fun weekend of tiny living for just under $26 each.

The Sunshine Key location's rentals start at $250 per night; they sleep two or three people and would be ideal for a little romantic getaway.

And rest assured that your tiny living will not equal life in the wilderness. All tiny houses are equipped with kitchens, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and flat-screen TVs.

Regardless of if you’re in the mood to experience tiny house living for the first time, escape to an island in the Keys or immerse yourself in the wonderful world of Walt Disney, these tiny house villages are one of the cutest ways to get in touch with the Sunshine State.
