Airbnb Will Pay You To Move To Italy And Eat Pasta For 3 Months This Summer
Italy is a dream travel destination, there's no denying that. They're the creators of our favourite foods from pasta and pizza to gelato and espresso, Italy has every kind of delicious food we dream of eating every day of our lives. Not to mention the gorgeous seaside scenery, the historic sites, and the cobblestoned towns that make Italy that much more amazing!
Well, that dream can now become a reality all thanks to Airbnb. They're sponsoring 4 people to move to the small Italian village of Grottole in the south for 3 months this summer! You can immerse yourself in the culture, become fluent in Italian, and learn to cook all of their amazing local foods. What could be better than that?

The main goal of this unreal trip that Airbnb is offering is for the chosen 4 visitors to support the local community by revitalizing their small village. Those who are chosen will become temporary citizens of the village and will volunteer for a non-profit organization called 'Wonder Grottole' who aims to revitalize the town's city centre.
The small village of Grottole is only home to 300 people and more than 600 homes are empty and at risk of disappearing. That's why the village desperately needs help to keep their beautiful, historic home intact!

If you are chosen to move to Italy for the summer you will arrive at the beginning of June and leave at the end of August. Your typical day will include waking up at sunrise with an Italian cappuccino and starting the day with an Italian language lesson. Then you'll learn how to grow produce from an expert in the gardens. At lunchtime, you'll take a cooking lesson and prepare a delicious, classic Italian meal prepared with the local produce.
After lunch, you'll get to explore the Italian countryside aboard a classic Italian Ape Car taking in the beautiful sites! Finally, at the end of your busy day, you get to enjoy a relaxing evening with the locals drinking wine and eating more delicious food.
Applications are being accepted now until February 17th at 11:59 pm Central European Time. The application is pretty straight forward, just checking a few boxes and answering two main questions, what's your story and why are you ready to move to Grottole and how would you contribute to the local community of Grottole including any passions of yours!
