AirPods Pro In Canada Announced Just After Crucial iPhone 5 Update Alert

iPhone users know that when a new iOS update comes out, there are sure to be a lot of great new features and fixes. However, the latest update is also crucial for anyone with an iPhone 5. Unless your phones are updated by November 3, they could basically stop working and need to be wiped. But hey, at least you'll be able to get the AirPods Pro in Canada!

According to Apple's website, the new update will need to be installed on iPhone 5's before midnight UTC on November 3. Otherwise, any functions of the phone requiring the correct date and time will be affected and essentially unusable.

This includes using "App Store, iCloud, email, and web browsing," according to Apple support. Basically, some of the biggest functions of your iPhone 5 will be gone.

Not only that, but you will have to restore your phone from an old backup using another device. While the backup will have saved your contacts, calendars, notes, texts, and settings, everything else that hasn't been saved elsewhere will disappear.

iPhone 5 users can check that they have updated successfully by checking their iOS version on their phone to ensure they have downloaded version 10.3.4

Luckily, it's not all urgent and scary news from Apple. Just as they have revealed new products in the past, the company also unveiled the new AirPods Pro, the latest model of their popular wireless earbuds.

According to Apple's website, the newest AirPods will provide noise cancellation, customizable fits, and even a transparency mode to let ambient sound cut through your audio.

The AirPods Pro use a built-in microphone to listen to the sound around you and filter it out. On top of that, they include an internal microphone that cancels out excess sound from inside your ears.

So while it might be a stressful week for iPhone 5 users who have to update to the latest iOS version, at least they can take comfort in knowing that the AirPods Pro will be available on October 30 for the totally reasonable price of $329 CAD.
