Sorry Canadians, Several Provinces Will Be Hit With Snowy, Winter Weather This Weekend

If you thought the nice, warm weather was here to stay in the central provinces of Canada like Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, unfortunately, you thought wrong. It looks like winter is making a major comeback this weekend, and it's not going to be pretty. Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan will be hit with snow and winter weather this weekend. 

It may almost be the end of April and more than a month into spring, but it looks like the weather in Canada did not get the memo. Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan will be hit with snowfall this weekend. 

This past long weekend, all three provinces saw nice, warm sunny weather that give locals hope that winter was over. For instance, Calgary's temperatures reached around 20ºC, while Saskatoon saw temperatures rise to around 19ºC and Manitoba experienced 19ºC weather. 

Today in Calgary, temperatures are currently a nice 16ºC. However, things are about to take a turn for the worse. By Friday, temperatures will drop to a low of -3ºC and 1 to 3 cm of snowfall is expected on both Friday and Saturday. However, it doesn't stop there. Sunday will see -6ºC weather at night and 5 cm of snowfall, according to The Weather Network.

Based on their weather forecast, Calgary could see a total of up to 15 cm of snowfall from Thursday to Monday. Get ready for a wild weather change, Calgarians! 

Unfortunately, temperatures will be dropping in Manitoba as well, and even some snowfall is expected. Although it is 19ºC in Winnipeg today, temperatures will drop to a low of 0ºC in just a few days, with 2 to 4 cm of snowfall forecasted, as well as 15 to 22 mm of rain, according to The Weather Network.

Saskatchewan will also see winter-like weather this weekend. Currently, it's 20ºC, but a few days later, that will drop to -2ºC on Thursday and around 1 cm of snowfall is expected on Sunday and Monday, says the forecast from The Weather Network. 

Well, it looks like that mild spring weather will soon be a thing of the past. In the meantime, we'll be counting down the days until summer hits.
