With the current state of affairs, many people have been laid off. But while most jobs in Alberta have ended or halted for the foreseeable future, some industries are busier than ever. Right now, Alberta Health Services is hiring over 500 positions and the pay is actually insane. All the positions can be applied for online and they are for all levels of experience.

Since non-essential businesses have closed their doors throughout the province, many people have found themselves unemployed

Though some jobs have been posted online looking for at-home workers, a large population is still relying on employment insurance to make ends meet.

If you are in the market for a job, then look no further.

Alberta Health Services is hiring right now and they aren’t just looking for nurses and doctors, though there are tons of postings for those, too.

The organization's website has over 550 positions open at the moment and all of them need to be filled ASAP.

Ranging from nurses and technicians to health care aids and unit clerks, there is something for everyone's skill and experience level.

Not only are there literally hundreds of positions, but the pay is really good. Time to spruce up those resumes.

For instance, the position of unit clerk at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton is anywhere from $24.99 an hour to $30.38 an hour.

This position would have you communicating with health professionals, patients, and departments to ensure things flow smoothly. You will definitely need to be organized and efficient.

Some of the other positions are incredibly intense.

If you happen to be a psychologist then this could be your big break. A position in Ponoka is looking for a psychologist and they are willing to pay anywhere from $41.48 an hour to $55.25 an hour.

The positions are literally all over the province and range from working in hospitals to home care, some of them are even remote. You shouldn't have a problem finding something that fits your needs and is close to you.

If you find a job you’re interested in, we suggest you apply fast.

Global News spoke with Alberta Health Services and on April 8, they received over 4,100 applications.

The spokesperson with the health service noted they will be reviewing applications and looking at ways to internally redeploy to ensure they have staff where they need them.
