A day that is meant to be filled with nostalgia and movie watching was a little more intense for a young Alberta woman. According to CTV News, a 19-year-old employee at Coco Vanilla Galactic Cantina in Lethbridge dressed up as a Star Wars Stormtrooper on Monday, May 4.
She was dancing outside of the restaurant with a blaster in hand to celebrate the occasion and put a smile on fellow fan's faces.
Her prop looked a little too real and police were called.
Apparently, Lethbridge police arrived at the restaurant with guns drawn and shouting at the teenage girl to drop her blaster.
She allegedly did not hear the police through her Stormtrooper helmet which resulted in her being tackled to the ground and handcuffed.
A video of the incident was filmed and posted on Youtube and it has already gone viral. In the video, you can see the teen in her costume that looks just like the ones in the movies.
The video then cuts to the videographer driving and filming where you can see several cop cars with their lights on and guns drawn pointing at the Star Wars fan.
Her hands are raised in the air and her blaster is on the ground.
Eventually, she is put on the ground and her hands are placed behind her back.
