Alicia Keys Announces Two Canadian Shows For The First Time In 6 Years

This girl is on fire! The “Empire State of Mind” singer recently took to social media to announce a new album, and less than 24 hours later she revealed her concert dates for a world tour. These Alicia Keys Canadian tour dates will be her first shows in the country since 2013.

The self-titled album was unveiled to the world in an Instagram post that featured the new album's cover art with a release date of March 20.

The news of the concert, however, came in a more unique fashion. In an Instagram video of Keys bowling, she teased that if her next bowl was a strike she’d be going on tour. Luckily, it was a strike.

“Alicia” will also be the name of the 48-date tour.

It’s set to take off on June 5 with the first 20 shows being performed in Europe. She’ll make her way back to North America on July 28, with her Canadian concerts to follow.

Her Toronto performance is set for Budweiser Stage on August 16 with her Vancouver show following on August 31 at Rogers Arena.

It’s been six years since the “No One” singer travelled to the Great White North for a concert. According to the Montreal Gazette, her last performance was in Montreal on her “Set the World on Fire Tour" back in 2013.

Tickets for the Alicia tour go on sale Monday, January 27 on Ticketmaster for the general public. For more information and a full list of dates, visit Keys’ website.
