Ready to get spooked? It was recently announced by producer Ryan Murphy that an American Horror Story spinoff is on the way, and it might include some of your favourite cast members! Details about the series are still under wraps, but Murphy opened up about what fans can expect on Instagram.

In a recent post, Murphy revealed that he and several cast members from the show had a zoom call during which they discussed his latest project—a new show called American Horror Stories.

According to the producer’s caption, the spinoff will consist of one hour contained episodes. Variety reports that each episode will tell its own ghost story, and the series will likely be cast with familiar faces from the original show.

It’s unclear whether or not the image Murphy shared to Instagram is from the actual call, but beloved stars Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Lily Rabe, Emma Roberts, and Angela Bassett are all pictured in the photo, among others.

During their meeting, the producer revealed that they also discussed details around the filming of season 10, which has been indefinitely postponed.

Back in April, a teaser trailer was released for the upcoming season, but in an interview with The Wrap, Murphy revealed that the theme required a “very specific vibe” and so they may push back filming for an entire year, or change the theme entirely.

Although the exact premise remains unclear, a video posted to the show’s YouTube page earlier this year revealed which actors viewers can expect to see in season 10.

Kathy Bates, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross, and Finn Wittrock are all set to return, and Home Alone actor Macaulay Culkin will be making his series debut in the latest edition of the hit show.

When he’s not busy creating horror content for his audiences, Murphy has been working closely with Netflix to produce shows like The Politician and Hollywood, as well as the documentary A Secret Love.

It remains unclear when exactly American Horror Stories will begin filming, but the show’s producer is sure to share details with fans as soon as they become available.
