Canada's New Ultra Low Cost Airline Is Having A Massive Sale On Flights To Beachfront Locations Right Now

You can't beat these prices.

This past Spring Canada's first ever ultra low cost airline started offering the cheapest domestic flights this country has ever seen! They've been a huge hit since then and it's clear why. It's been incredibly expensive for Canadians to travel within our own country for so long, but no anymore thanks to Swoop Airlines!

This fall they've added 5 US destinations just in time for the holidays, when everyone wants to escape the chill of winter and spend a week or two lounging on a beach. To kick off September and their new destinations they're holding a massive September Sale that's almost too good to be true!

The sale ends on September 13th, just 3 days from now so if you want to take part in these insane prices, now is your chance!

The guidelines of the sale are that you must fly anytime between September 22-December 13th and January 13th-February 12th which gives you a lot of options. All the flights offered are one way but they're still amazing deals.

You can get flights to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, Florida for $89, Las Vegas for $99, Mesa, Phoenix for $119 and so much more! Most of these flights leave from either Hamilton or Edmonton so you should definitely make sure they have the route you need to get to your destination and back.

If you're not looking to leave Canada for your vacation, this sale offers destinations in the country as well. Travel from Edmonton to Winnipeg and back for $49, Edmonton to Hamilton for $99 and the best deal on the site: Abbotsford to Edmonton for just $9!!

These are some seriously amazing deals to beachfront locations just when the weather here in Canada is starting to cool down. Check out their website for more deals and to book your flight!

Your day just got a little cuter because the BC SPCA is offering 50% off adoption fees for pets to free up space in their shelters.

With many of them filling up due to "animals seized or surrendered in large-scale investigations," they are in need of loving owners who want to take home a new best friend.

Depending on where you live, the adoption fees can vary. For Vancouver, the regular fee for an adult dog is around $414, and $194 for a cat.

The promotion is from September 27 to October 6, and is for all "companion animals — dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, rabbits and small animals, as well as for farm animals (with the exception of horses)," said Lorie Chortyk, general manager of communications for the BC SPCA, in a press release.

You can take a look at the adoption process on the BC SPCA website and see the list of animals currently looking for a home.

If you were already tempted to get a new addition to the family, this might be just the sign you were waiting for.

Parts of Ontario are under frost advisories on Monday with temperatures expected to fall below zero in several regions.

According to Environment Canada, regions such as Haliburton, Parry Sound, Bancroft and Algonquin will be hit with an early taste of winter on Monday evening.

Residents concerned about their gardens or crops are being warned to take '"preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees."

Northern areas such as Elliot Lake, North Bay and Greater Sudbury will drop near or below zero this evening.

However, this won't be the last of the chilly conditions residents will see this year. In fact, The Weather Networks warns this could be one of the worst winters the province has seen in 25 years.

So you might want to pull out your winter jackets.

Another intense hurricane is currently making its way over Atlantic waters and there's a chance it could be heading towards Canada's east coast over the next week.

The Canadian Hurricane Centre said in a tweet on Sunday, September 26 that it's keeping an eye on the progress of "major" Hurricane Sam.

Although the centre admits that it's still too early to tell whether the hurricane will affect Atlantic Canada, "if it does affect the region, it would not likely be till next Sunday."

As of Monday morning, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said the hurricane was about 1,200 kilometres east-southeast of the northern Leeward Islands with maximum winds near 205 km/h.

"This motion is expected to continue for the next few days, with an increase in forward speed beginning on Thursday," said the NHC. They also confirmed in the update that Sam is currently a category 3 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale.

"The most likely scenario is that Sam will recurve and stay out to sea and not be a major threat to Atlantic Canada. However, this is still nearly a week away and it is possible that Sam will track further to the north and west and have a significant impact on southern and eastern parts of the region, with the highest risk being southeastern Newfoundland Sunday or Monday of next week," said Dr. Doug Gillham, a meteorologist at The Weather Network.

This comes on the heels of Hurricane Larry, which hit Newfoundland earlier this month causing widespread damage.

According to TWN, Sam is the seventh hurricane of the 2021 Atlantic season and "hurricane season traditionally runs from June 1st to Nov. 30, with substantial flexibility on either side of that range."

Finding an adorable Ontario cottage within a decent price range is no easy task for millennials, but that doesn't mean there aren't unique opportunities out there.

16 E. MacDonald Cres., located in Madoc, Ontario, stands as a glowing example of the rare finds lurking in the northern parts of the province, and it's still a comfortable driving distance from Toronto. It's also nestled on the most adorable island.
