McDonald's Is Removing 10 Items From Their Menu In Canada Because Of COVID-19

They want to keep up social distancing in the kitchens.

McDonald's Temporary Limited Menu In Canada Is Now In Effect & 10 Items Are Unavailable

Good-bye breakfast? There's another change for you to be aware of when it comes to getting food these days. McDonald's has a temporary limited menu in Canada that's now being offered because of COVID-19. There are 10 items that are no longer available for purchase.

If you're heading to a McDonald's drive-thru in Canada or ordering online for delivery, the menu will look a little different.

In a statement to Narcity, the fast-food giant said that the switch over to the limited temporary menu is to protect employees so they can continue to serve Canadians.

"To simplify operations and to support social distancing in our kitchens during this time – as well as ensuring the best possible experience for our guests – we are simplifying our menu and temporarily removing some items," McDonald's Canada said.

As of April 14, these items are no longer on the menu: McGriddles, bagels (à la carte and sandwiches), Big Breakfast, salads (entrée and side), croissants, danishes and mini-chocolatines, and cones.

On top of those, the fried egg Big Breakfast and toast are no longer available in Quebec.

If locations across the country still have the products that are no longer on the menu, they'll continue to sell them while supplies last.

You can still get McDonald's staples like egg McMuffins, Big Macs, fries, wraps, and chicken McNuggets as those haven't been removed.

The fast-food giant will frequently be evaluating the situation and could have to make more changes.

There is no timeline for how long the temporary menu could be in place for but McDonald's Canada is looking to move back to the regular menu as soon as possible.

An employee at a downtown Ottawa location recently tested positive for COVID-19.

One location in Toronto was seen with a bunch of paper bags on the floor ready to be filled with orders in anticipation of a busy McDelivery night.

A McDonald's Canada spokesperson told Narcity that the bags on the floor were discarded.

You can still get your fix with the drive-thru and McDevliery at participating locations across Canada.

Next time you're searching through Netflix in Canada and wishing there were more movies or TV shows to watch, just know that someone has it worse than you do.

That's according to a new study conducted by product comparison company Uswitch, who ranked the shows and movies on the Netflixes of 30 countries.

Uswitch used a mixture of IMDB scores and award nominations/wins to determine the quality of titles, and the company found that the best Netflix selection is in Japan, followed closely by the Czech Republic and the U.K.

Canada came in 10th place in the study, between India and Slovakia, and its score of 90.09/100 completely blows the U.S. score out of the water. The U.S. ranked 29th out of 30 countries on the list, above just Malaysia in terms of quality shows and movies.

Canada also ranked 11 in the best films-only list and 13 in the TV shows-only list. Not only that, but it also tied for fifth place for the most amount of shows and films!

So no complaining next time you feel like you have to watch The Office again — there's officially plenty more to pick from.

Wonderland's Halloween Haunt Is Back This Weekend With So Many Terrifying New Attractions

There are some never-before-seen scary mazes to roam through this year! 👻

Calling all Halloween lovers: Wonderland's Halloween Haunt is kicking off its season this coming weekend.

Starting September 24, ghouls, goblins, and hundreds of other terrifying monsters will roam through Canada's Wonderland for the Haunt that'll last until October 31. This year, there are also three new frightening scare zones that you can check out: the Farmstead, Kingdom of Carnage, and Streets of Undead.

The Farmstead is a haunting abandoned slaughterhouse that has been overrun by a nearby farm, where there will be "terrible ends" for those who dare venture through the dark fields and rusty machinery.

At the Kingdom of Carnage, you will find yourself right in the middle of a bloodthirsty siege on a wicked king's castle. "Just as the advancing villagers gain ground, an evil terror is unleashed, threatening to consume everyone and everything in its path," Wonderland's announcement reads.

A fan of The Walking Dead? The Streets of Undead throws you right into the middle of a zombie apocalypse where there are some ravenous undead monsters looking to feast on human flesh — so you better make it to the Safe Zone quick!

When you're itching for a break from being screamed at by monsters, there are some new live shows to check out. The Skeleton Crew features an acrobatic show which, Wonderland says, is filled with trampoline tricks and "daring feats of athleticism," while Inferno is a fiery performance that will serve up some fire tricks and balancing acts.

Reservations are a must to enter the scream park this year, and tickets already went on sale in late August. Anyone with a 2022 Gold Pass won't have to wait for next year to begin and can hit up Wonderland as many times as they want for the rest of 2021. Yes, this includes Halloween Haunts and WinterFests!

Canada's Wonderland reminds guests that you will be turned away if you try to visit the Haunt in costume, and they recommend not bringing children under 13 to the event.

Hudson's Bay is offering 20% off to anyone who gets vaccinated at Woodbine Mall in Etobicoke today to celebrate the opening of its new vaccine clinic.

Mayor John Tory announced in a statement on Tuesday that residents would receive a discount on all in-store purchases at the new location.

The clinic, which is located at 500 Rexdale Boulevard, will be open from Tuesday to Saturday, 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for walk-in appointments for first or second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

"The opening of the new clinic at Woodbine Mall signals the next step in our efforts to meet our goal of vaccinating 90% of residents in Toronto. This new clinic will help us target an area within our city that has lower vaccination rates and by opening the clinic in a highly frequented area," Tory said.

"I encourage residents who haven't yet received their vaccine to either walk in or book an appointment at the Woodbine Clinic and help us stop the spread of COVID-19," he added.

So if you're looking for a discount at the popular store, it might be time to roll up your sleeve.
