The number seven is lucky for a reason, especially for coffee and donut lovers. Not only was the number seven the retiring jersey number of our beloved Tim Horton, the Canadian hockey legend and namesake of Canada's favourite coffee shop, but beginning today, Canadians will redeem a reward after every seventh visit to Tim Hortons through the company's new loyalty rewards program.
Tims Rewards, Tim Hortons' brand new loyalty rewards program, will reward Canadians with a free hot brewed coffee or hot tea of any size or baked good (with the exception of Timbits and bagels) after every seventh visit.*
According to a press release from Tim Hortons, Tims Rewards is straightforward for customers to use. All you have to do is visit any participating Tim Hortons restaurant in Canada to receive a reusable loyalty card or download the Tim Rewards app to your digital wallet on your iPhone or Android device.
Tim Hortons also provides a third option of downloading the updated Tim Hortons mobile app, which allows you to monitor your status, scan for rewards, and order directly through the app to earn points and redeem rewards.
Alex Macedo, President of Tim Hortons, said in a press release, "Tim Hortons has some of the most loyal guests in Canada and Tims Rewards allows us to say thank you. We heard from our guests that a new rewards program had to be easy to use and redeem, that's why we offer both a reusable card and a digital friendly app."
Customers can register their card online or through the app to monitor their visit count and balance. For just a limited time only, you will also receive a free reward following your first purchase greater than $1.50.
Tims-fans can also look forward to the unveiling of new personalized mobile offers and discounts in the coming months, Tim Hortons told the public in a press release.
*A visit is a purchase of 50 cents or more and must be a least thirty minutes after the previous visit. The Tims Rewards card must be presented and scanned before paying.
