Fans Are On A Mission To Get Canadian NHLer Anthony Beauvillier A Date With Anna Kendrick

Twitter can bring out the worst in people, but every so often, it is used for good. When an NHL player tweeted at Anna Kendrick this Christmas, fans stepped in to make the love connection happen. Anthony Beauvillier's Anna Kendrick tweet got the most amazing replies from fans determined to show the actress what a wonderful guy he is.

Beauvillier is a Canadian hockey player from Quebec who currently plays for the New York Islanders. On December 25, he tried to shoot his shot with the actress by firing off a simple and straightforward tweet - "Hi @AnnaKendrick47."

The tweet has since gotten over 17,000 likes and hundreds of replies from fans who were eager to be his wingman.

Fans have made it a point to show Kendrick what a cultured, selfless, generous and wealthy guy he is. The comments range from fans thanking Beauvillier for lending his private jet, saving kittens from hurricanes and even donating his kidney.

Even other NHLers joined the effort. Retired Islanders player Bruno Gervais tweeted, "Remember Beau when you saved me from a burning building, cooked me a 7 course meal and taught me 8 languages , that was a great day."

On December 27, Kendrick finally responded.

"These replies have been my entertainment for the last two days. Thank you all for regaling me with the true tales of this man’s heroism," she replied to Beauvillier's tweet.

Until now, the anticipation of Kendrick's response was making fans anxious.

We knew that there was no way that this valiant effort could be ignored, and we're glad that she took a moment to appreciate it. We hope this means that Kendrick is willing to give the Islander a chance.

If this is how their love story begins, Beauvillier's Twitter followers definitely deserve some credit for helping to make it happen.
