When it comes to fall, apple-picking in Georgia must be on your to-do list no matter how basic it might sound. Not only will you be picking fresh apples off trees, but it makes for the best photos with your friends or significant other. B.J. Reece Apple House is officially open and you can enter their orchards for just $2.

B.J. Reece Apple House and Orchards are finally open for fall business as of Aug. 24. You can pick your own apples off trees at this small, cozy orchard. It's in Ellijay, Georgia, right in the North Georgia mountains. 

Depending on the week, there are different types of apples you can pick. Their market is also now open where you can get fresh apple goods. 

From Aug. 24 to Oct. 27, you can visit this orchard and pick fresh apples. During the weekdays, you can enter their farm and the orchards for only $2 ($5 on the weekend). There is even a petting zoo you can visit while you are here to get all your farm animal cuddles in. 

If you want to grab some apples to take home, they have a few options you can choose from. A half peck bag is $8 (most popular), peck bags are $14 and half bushel bags are $28. You can fill these bags to the brim.

Your admission on the weekend includes entrance to both sides of the orchard, the pig races, cow milking and the wagon ride through the farm. Your admission on weekdays includes admission to the orchard. 

Throughout the time they are open for U-pick, they will have over 20 different apples growing. There will be types like Honey Crisp, Rome Beauty, Winecrisp and Pink Ladies. 

Whether you just want to take those cute couple pictures in an apple orchard, or you actually want to pick some apples to eat, B.J. Reece is the place to check out. The cheap admission and amount of apples they have is the perfect reason to make the road trip. 

There are so many fall activites popping up all over the state. You can pick your own pumpkin and go through a haunted maze in Calhoun and eat homemade apple cider donuts in North Georgia.
