Atlanta Fans Are Annoyed By Chance The Rapper Canceling His Tour For 2020

When we found out Chance The Rapper was going on a huge US tour this year, we were stoked. He was finally going to make his way around the nation with his newest album, but then it was postponed to 2020. Chance The Rapper has canceled his tour all together to spend time with his family and his fans are not happy.

The Big Day Tour was supposed to come to State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Jan. 29, but that's no longer happening. He posted a photo on Instagram (Dec. 15) to let all of his fans know what was going on saying, “I’m gonna take this time to be with family, make some new music and develop my best show to date.”

There are many speculations as to if this is just an excuse due to low ticket sales, or if he really is just focusing on his family. Fans are ruthless, and they took their feelings to Twitter.

A user stated plainly, "That's a ridiculous reason if you wanted to be with your family that much then why'd you even announce a tour in the first place, it's obviously low ticket sales."

People think that his pride is getting in the way of the truth. Not thinking of the consequences, Chance might have lost some of his fan base, including those in Atlanta.

Obviously, family comes first, but when you're a famous rapper who has hundreds of fans who have already bought tickets, there is going to be some backlash.

Some fans think this break will help him get back to who he used to be, and who his fans used to love. Some even want "mixtape Chance" back, which is understandable.

Chance is the talk of social media and this was some people's first Chance concert, and now they have to wait until he is ready to perform again. Atlanta will be waiting.
