This New Asian Street Food Spot In East Atlanta Has A New Menu Every Week

Grab your chopsticks and hang on tight.

Street food, which was first popularized in America thanks to NYC, is now expanding everywhere and has become especially popular in Atlanta. Typically known for its in-and-out quick service and tiny (sometimes mobile) spaces, street food typically consists of the food porn we all dream of and drool over on Instagram. Authentic quality and greasy goodness are characteristics of the best street food, and we promise this Asian street food in Atlanta will deliver major dopamine highs with its incredible menu that changes weekly.

Mushi Ni offers globally-inspired and locally-sourced Asian cuisine that can't be beat. They began as a pop-up at Senoia Coffee and Cafe in Senoia in May 2017, but became a permanent storefront in East Atlanta Village (EAV) in January 2018. As of now, EAV is Mushi Ni's only location, but they plan to open a second spot in Pinewood Forest, along with another restaurant, Braise. Dates have not yet been released but Narcity will follow the story and provide updates when applicable.

According to Co-Owner Michael Le, Mushi Ni's business model reflects dynamic Asian culture. "We wanted to do a menu that relfected who we are as Asian and American," says Le. "[A menu] that was delicious, thoughtful and fun but still affordable and approachable."

The owners of Mushi Ni work hard to source their ingredients from local farmers, small business owners and artisans to offer a menu of fresh and organic ingredients.

The menu at Mushi Ni changes every week, but keeps a handful of staple items including bao, roti, rice bowls and tempura fried oreos (talk about an epic Asian-American collab). Bao, which is one of their biggest hits (according to Instagram), comes in so many varieties including lemongrass BBQ pork with lime aioli; mushroom katsu with fried mushrooms tossed in carrot, ginger, and unagi; and lobster salad with sriracha truffle mayo. *Tears of joy*

More one-of-a-kind menu items include their "Cauliflower Bang Bang" with a spiced and breaded cauliflower nugget served with tofu mayo; wagyu melt with squid ink bun; and cafe su'da budino, a vietnamese coffee that is turned into pudding. They offer something for all foodie lifestyles including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.

You don't need an occasion to feast on this incredible Asian street food, so hop on over to EAV to try the best of the best.
