You Can Actually Visit These Stranger Things Set Locations In Atlanta

The moment we have all been waiting for has finally arrived. Season 3 of Stranger Things is premiering this July 4th on Netflix and what better way to celebrate than by binge-watching the riveting Atlanta-based Sci-fi show? Strangely enough, the Stranger Things set locations in Atlanta are pretty easy to find, and you can check them out yourself.

It's crazy to think that we have basically co-existed with Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) and Winona Ryder (Joyce). They have filmed in countless locations in Atlanta and surrounding areas, so you can practically breathe the same air they've breathed. You can take yourself on a tour around town to visit these super awesome locations and get an inside look at what it's like to be on set of Stranger Things.

The fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, where the show takes place, has come to fruition about 50-miles outside the city in a town called Jackson. However, there are lots of locations closer to Atlanta. From Stone Mountain Park to Gwinnett Place Mall, the cast of Stranger Things has been all over the Metro Atlanta area. Check out the set locations from all three seasons of the show.

Stone Mountain Park

One of the most famous landmarks in the U.S. lies here in ATL and the ST cast has stepped foot in this park to use the woods and train tracks for filming in seasons 1 and 2. They likely filmed here for Season 3 as well. While you're here, you may as well make a day of it and explore the park or hike to the top of Stone Mountain. Address: 1000 Robert E Lee Blvd, Stone Mountain, GA 30083

Gwinnett Place Mall

Quite a bit of filming for season 3 took place at Gwinnett Place Mall, where you can spot Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream Parlor in the show. The producers revamped stores like Gap and Radioshack to align with the show's '80s theme.

Palace Arcade

This super retro arcade in the show is actually a vacant spot that used to be a laundromat. located in Douglas County, it totally fits the '80s vibes and is a cool place to take vibrant pics! Do it for the 'gram. Address: 8415 Campbellton St, Douglasville, GA 30134
