Now that spring is less than a month away, it's time to start appreciating all that comes with the new, lively season. This April, a strawberry festival in Austin is doing just that by letting attendees enjoy an early afternoon of strawberry-themed activities. These days, Texas is keeping up with its reputation of having bigger events than any other state, so you don't want to miss out on this fun-filled event.
Texas Farmers' Market at Lakeline in Austin is hosting six months of unique festivals on the last Saturday of every month to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
As part of their celebration, Saturday, April 25 marks the date of one of their most exciting events, a Strawberry Festival, which is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m that Saturday.
If you do decide to come out, which, you totally should, you'll get to learn how strawberries grow, witness a strawberry chef demo, make your own strawberry festival buttons, and more.
They'll even have strawberry face painting so that you can leave looking like your favorite fruit. You already know that'll make for a great Instagram photo.
The entire event is free and open to the public, which in this case is the strawberry on top!
The info booth at the festival will give you the chance to see what a strawberry plant looks like and learn even more about it than what you already know.
"From Maggie's Farm" will be making an appearance for a chef demo that'll incorporate strawberries for lots of different, tasty creations. You could even get a free sample or two!
Leaving with buttons and facepaint will be a great way to commemorate your time at the fest.
We can't wait to attend the most berrylicious festival of the year!
