You'd think that because it's summer the last thing you'd want to enjoy is something hot, but that's not always true. There are far too many deliciously hot and spicy things in Texas to ignore that craving. Thankfully, the 29th Annual Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Festival is back this year and it's going to be better than ever. August seriously couldn't get here fast enough!
On Sunday, August 25th from 11 AM to 5 PM you can enjoy one of the tastiest fests Austin has ever experienced. There will be hundreds of hot sauces, Firemans Light to cool off with, and tons of popular food vendors. A $5 donation is suggested as an entrance fee, but that's it! Look no further, this is exactly how to get rid of the Sunday scaries.
Some of the most iconic spots in Austin will be at the fest for you to chow down on. Torchy's Tacos, Garbo's Lobster Truck and more will be what your meals consist of that day. Some of the vendors will be perfect to try out some hot sauce with. It's more like a feast than a fest!
Amy's Ice Creams will also be there to help you cool off from all the insane heat.
There'll even be a hot sauce competition! While you're beating the heat, you can beat others in a friendly fight to see who can actually handle the hottest sauce. You'll feel like you're straight out of an episode of Hot Ones. Austin has endless ways of making your summer great, so don't miss out on this awesome opportunity!
