No matter how old we get, every year we wait and hope for our letter from Hogwarts to finally come in. Our chances of that actually happening are getting slimmer, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy the Wizarding World of Harry Potter when it comes to us. This Halloween, a Harry Potter-themed spot in Austin is further transforming into Diagon Alley straight from the books and movies, and thanks to the owners, it's going to be even more realistic than it was last year.
The Diagon Alley Austin Halloween House is back again this year starting tomorrow, Thursday, October 31 at 5 p.m. Just in time to kick off your Halloween festivities! Joel and Amanda Pace, the owners of this now iconic home, have even more planned this year and have made improvements to some of the fan favorites.
The house will be open to visitors on October 31 from 5 to 10 p.m. and November 1 and 2 from 5 to 9 p.m. If you're planning on coming out just make sure you're in line by closing time! While there are only a few days to visit the house as of right now, Joel and Amanda may end up adding more dates. Keep an eye on their Facebook page to find out.
Visiting the house is free but donations are highly encouraged and go towards a great cause. The couple has put in a tremendous amount of work to ensure people in the Austin area have a place to go while dressed up as their favorite Harry Potter character, so it's kind of the least we can do.
Eeylops Owl Emporium, Hogwarts Castle, Gringotts Wizarding Bank dome, The Knight Bus, and more familiar magical spots and locations will be making an appearance this year. Our muggle hearts can hardly handle the joy Diagon Alley Austin Halloween House is bringing to Austin, and we can't wait to celebrate Halloween here.
