In America, we like to stuff our faces with delicious, oversized food. And in Texas, we like to make it into a good ole' competition. Located in the heart of the state, an unassuming ice cream shop, known as Waffle Cone, serves up Texas' biggest 16-scoop ice cream sundae challenge near Austin.
Waffle Cone is a sweet-loving ice cream parlor a short drive up from Austin in Copperas Cove, Texas.
Their whopping challenge, "The Dawg", is served in a giant dog bowl overflowing with 16 scoops of your favorite ice cream. But that's not all—you don't get it that easy.
It's topped with an entire can of whipped cream, hot fudge, caramel, waffle chips, cherries, a variety of candies, and some cookies.
To start, you'll pick your flavors and then choose your timer that will give you about an hour to finish it. But all the timers vary in speed, so just hope you grab the one that runs slower.
You can get "The Dawg" for $50. But if you finish it, you'll get your money back, doubled, with the $100 cash prize. It's called an investment, okay?
Located just about an hour north of Austin in Central Texas, it's the perfect road trip for anyone in the state who loves to get their sweet tooth on.
And if you just want to try their normal portions, you have over 20 flavors and 6 dipped-cone options to choose from.
They also serve more than 23 flavors of Hawaiian shaved ice.
But hey, you can't eat dessert without first having a balanced dinner. Didn't your parents teach you anything?
And we know all the right places to have your pre-"The Dawg" meal at! The sky-high three-pound burger Mel's Country Cafe, or Red Oak Cafe's massive stack of pancakes.
Get ready to carry around a very full belly.
