You Can Devour Unlimited Chili At This Massive Fest Near Austin This Fall

Fall means chili, we know that without a doubt. This delicious dish has the ability to warm our bodies once the cooler weather finally blesses the great state of Texas. And we wouldn't dare refuse it! Pflugerville, just a short drive from Austin, has the right idea and is bringing back the Pfall Chili Pfest for another year. We can't wait to stuff ourselves full of chili, jalapeños, pickles, and more.

On Saturday, October 19 from 12 to 5 p.m. you can grab your friends and family, and come out to one of the most exciting fall fests Texas has to offer. Downtown Pflugerville will have a chili cook-off and tasting, live music, tons of vendors, and more fun! If you're interested in forming a team for the cook-off or being a vendor for this tasty fest, you can find application information on their website!

For just $5 you'll be provided with a package of 10 two-oz. cups and spoons to allow tasting from all of the chili cook-off contest entries. Plus, you'll be able to vote for your favorite!

From 3 to 3:30 p.m., a jalapeño eating contest will be taking place where you can eat as many as you can handle in four minutes. The winners get a cash prize as well as some serious bragging rights. Plus it's free to compete in!

For the younger ones, there's a pickle eating contest from 3:30 to 4 p.m. and ages 6-12 and 13-17 will be able to compete in seperate categories. Not everyone can handle the heat from a jalapeño.

If you're looking for more fall fests to enjoy in Texas, Houston and Dallas will both be having several. Though, this festival seems like it's worth making the trip for!
