A New Austin Dessert Shop Has Wild Milkshakes And Loaded Treats

We've all had those bizarre cravings for something sweet and salty at the same time. Rarely can you ever go to your nearest dessert shop and find the right thing to satisfy your cravings. But now, Austinites, you can. Waffle Bot + Freak Shakery just opened in Austin last night, and we have a feeling they're not going away any time soon.

Last night on October 9 at around 6 p.m. the doors (or should I say windows) opened to the best new dessert food truck in ATX. Rainey Street is home to many delicious trucks and shops, but none quite like this. They've got ice cream, waffles, shakes, and so much more. The best part about them, however, are the toppings!

Their menu consists of eight Belgian waffle flavors and seven filled-to-the-brim milkshakes, each with a unique name to match it based on the toppings. Creating your own is always an option at these places, however, there are so many toppings it may just be easier to order from their long list! Cool Ranch Doritos are one of them, and we're not complaining.

The food truck is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but open till all kind of hours the rest of the week. Wednesday and Thursday they'll be serving up their delicious treats from 6 p.m. until midnight, 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 3 p.m. until midnight on Sunday. You'll definitely get your chance to try 'em out!

For more crazy dessert fun, be sure to stop by the Domain in Austin, more locations on Rainey, or even Dirty 6th! Let us know who you think is best, our money is on the new guy.
