Pupers & Kittens Are 50% Right Now At The BC SPCA

Your day is about to get a whole lot fluffier. If you want to get a furry friend, there is no better time than right now. In response to COVID-19, you can now adopt a pet from the BC SPCA online for half price.
Until Friday, March 27, you can take advantage of 50% off adoption fees for all animals at BC SPCA facilities across the province.
So what are you waiting for? It is time to get a new BFF fluff ball to play with at home.
Lorie Chortyk, the general manager of communications of the BC SPCA, said their goal is to, "find as many loving homes as possible for the animals currently in our care so that we can continue to help new, incoming animals with our limited staffing capacity during the COVID-19 crisis."
She said that animals need us more now than ever in these unprecedented times.
The process of adopting a new cat or dog couldn't be simpler. You can view all the available animals on their website, and then will need to fill out the digital adoption form.
Right now, there is no public access to the centers. Instead, you'll be contacted to arrange a time for you to meet the animal.
Right now, nearly 550 animals in the region are looking for there forever home. There is everything from dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and other small animals.
Some of the cuties that you might fall in love with are Marty a 3-month-old kitten and Tiny a two-month-old Australian cattle dog.
With so many adorable pets on their site, it will be surprising if you don't find one you want to bring home.
The exact adoption fee varies by animal and by location. At the Vancouver Branch, the adoption fee before the discount is $75 to $199 for cats and $185 to $599 for dogs.
The range in cost depends on the age of the animal and the size of the dog.
