This Adorable 2-Bedroom Cottage In BC Only Costs $225,000

Your own piece of island paradise.
BC's Cheapest Homes Include This 2 Bedroom Cottage For $225,000 On Gabriola Island

You read that right. Just a few hours from Vancouver, there's a cute cottage with retro vibes for sale and it's just $225,000. If you've ever wanted to own your own single-family home and you're not a millionaire, then this rancher home on Gabriola island could be the perfect fit. This has got to be one of B.C.'s cheapest homes on the market and we are so excited to see what it's all about.

While "affordable homeownership" and "British Columbia" don't often belong in the same sentence, we've found a little property that we would love to own one day and it's surprisingly cheap.

On Gabriola Island, about three and a half hours and a couple of ferry rides away from Vancouver, you could have your very own place.

Billed as a "recreational getaway," this modest cabin is surrounded by bright green ferns and rainforest.

Plus, this place is just a few minutes' walk away from the beach so you really do get the whole package with this property.

Built in 1978, this place totally reminds us of Jim Hopper's house in Stranger Things. It has a retro vibe that with a little TLC could be really cool.

With a massive deck, this place is great if you see yourself spending lots of time outside surrounded by nature.

You can always take a day trip to Gabriola Island and see if you could live in that funky community for yourself.

The house is dwarfed by the massive trees outside. Inside, it's only 640 square feet so it's almost a tiny house.

According to the listing, the home has a septic system but it's not connected to the cabin so there's no bathroom. You might be roughing it but this little cottage has a lot of potential.

If you want more bang for your buck, then you have to head out east. You can get a four-bedroom beach house in Nova Scotia for less than $200,000 out there.
