Long gone are the days of pencil-thin brows and Sharpie-defined lines. In 2017, it's all about the bushy brow. The natural brow. The I-woke-up-like-this fabulousness that everyone we follow on Instagram is rocking.
The look is super easy to achieve without spending a ton of money or time. So let's get into it!
First off, grab a spoolie and comb through your brows to define the shape.
You can easily find a spoolie at the end of some brow products you might already own. You can also nab some at Sephora for free or buy them in packages of 50 for a solid $4 here.
Next, use an angled brush to lightly define the top and bottom of your natural shape with a pomade
This will give you a guideline as to where to fill in the rest of the shape, without going outside your natural brow. Pomades are super blendable and will blend right into your natural colour. This formula from Anastasia is our go-to. This brush also works wonders.
Depending on your desired fullness, either follow up with a brow gel or keep at it with the pomade.
Brow gel is great for keeping things super feathery and natural, but if you do want a bit more definition and fullness, a light-handed pomade application is a good way to go. In terms of gel, we recommend Gimme Brow by Benefit for a formula that adds fibres to give you a natural build-up.
Once you're done with the pomade, give those bad boys a good comb through to blend your colour and eyebrows together.
Brush upwards to keep them looking feathery and light. If you just gel-ed it, skip the brush through as to not mess up your work!
Clean up your work by using a little water on a Q-Tip to keep things clean
Whether you worked with the pomade or the gel, it's best to make sure there aren't any stray spots around your eyes!
And there you have it!
Two beautiful brow renditions, one full and defined, the other soft and subtle. Which one will you rock!?
