While Kylie Jenner is out here charging $20 a concealer, Tarte's charging $35, and Kim Kardashian probably out to charge even more... I'm sitting here thinking, "Is it even worth it?"
The answer is: no.
While high-end beauty brands are charging copious amounts for concealers, there are some real drugstore MVPs out here saving us our dollars and offering the same quality and the same amount of coverage at literally less than half the price.
Makeup Revolution's newly launched Conceal and Define Concealers only cost $7 and the internet is going gaga over them. From beauty influencer Jake Jamie to makeup Youtuber Shantania Beckford, the beauty community is falling in love with the product.
#SwatchParty Let’s play our game! Can you shade match me again? 😁 You guys did so well last time! Which shade do you think best suits my skin colour and which shade would be best for contouring? If you match me correctly, I’ll enter you into a draw to win a surprise gift from me! You got this 😉 ——— It’s the Tarte Shape DUPE Concealer that EVERYBODY is talking about! Conceal and Define from @makeuprevolution is ONLY £4 and comes in 18 skin-true shades (with more shades coming soon!) 🙌🏻 It’s an awesome concealer, I think you’ll love it 💜💜💜 ——— #bblogger #bbloggers #lblogger #lbloggers #beautyblogger #thebeautyboy #mua #beauty #instamakeup #makeupartist #jakejamie #wakeupandmakeup #laurag_143 #makeuptutorialsx0x #fakeupfix #hudabeauty #hairmakeupdiary #shimycatsmua #tarte #peachyqueenblog #brian_champagne #flawlesssdolls #melformakeup #mur #allmodernmakeup #makeuprevolution #concealanddefine #shapetape
Not only are they highly pigmented and super blendable, the Conceal and Define Concealers come in 18 shades with more to come. For a drugstore concealer, we are incredibly impressed. In fact, it is so good that the online beauty community is calling it the official dupe for Tarte's cult-favourite Shape Tape Concealer.
Shantania's Youtube video compares Tarte's Shape Tape to Makeup Revolution's Conceal and Define Concealer, and it seems like she prefers Makeup Revolution. The difference between the concealers is nearly indistinguishable. And if there is one difference, it's that the more affordable option lifts the undereye area even better than the more expensive high-end product. But not only is it better because the product's formula itself, but also because the shade range is much more inclusive than that of Tarte's.
Watch out Shape Tape, you've got some serious competition.
