In the midst of the Coronavirus outbreak and jobs calling for employees to stay home to promote social distancing, many people will be indoors this week. This is the perfect reason to catch up on all of your fave shows and maybe even find a few new ones. Some of the best shows on Netflix were filmed right here in Georgia and they're great for binging this weekend.
This intense drama, which is currently filming its third season here, features the serene beauty of suburbia found at Lake Lanier and surrounding areas. If you haven't binged this fan-favorite, now might be a good chance to get caught up in the whirlwind of Jason Bateman's (aka Marty Byrde) escapades.
Love Is Blind
If you haven't yet bought into the hype surrounding this reality romance series, you can find lots of drama to keep you occupied while on the couch. Many Georgia-based contestants search for love right here in Atlanta without actually seeing their match face-to-face for three weeks.
This sci-fi favorite was filmed all over the state, even in an abandoned mall in Atlanta. You might find both excitement and comfort in the trials and tribulations faced by main character Will (played by Noah Schnapp) and his friends as they face their own chaos in "The Upside Down."
This pageant-centric show is anything but crowns and jewels. You can follow the revenge-seeking journey of pageant queen Patty Bladell (Debby Ryan), who once faced adversity for her weight. You might catch yourself both laughing and crying at this dark comedy and catch glimpses of Newnan, Georgia in the background.
The Haunting of Hill House
The creepy series may give you the heebie-jeebies, but at least you will be in the comfort of your own home. You can follow the paranormal journey of a group of siblings who face the ghosts of their past in a giant 11,000-square foot mansion in Lagrange.
