Bianca Andreescu Was Stunned Beyond Words After Her Unbelievable Win Last Night (VIDEOS)

Bianca is the first Canadian to advance to the U.S. Open singles finals.

Canadian tennis history was made last night. Bianca Andreescu is the first Canadian in history to advance to the U.S. Open singles finals. The 19-year-old was feeling all the emotions of a true champion on Thursday after she defeated Switzerland's Belinda Bencic in a heated bout that ended in 7-6 (3), 7-5 victory.

Andreescu looked on the verge of breaking down as she stood victorious on the court of Arthur Ashe Stadium. She smiled, she cried, she did her best to breathe and take in the moment as her crowd erupted in cheers. The tennis star’s parents were spotted having their own moment as their daughter basked in the glory of her historic win.

According to CBC, Andreescu was so moved by her win that she was barely able to speak during her post-match interview. "If someone told me a year ago, I'd be in the U.S. Open final, I'd say you're crazy," she gushed. "I think it's just all the hard work."

"It's just crazy what a year can do," she added during a post-match press conference.

Canadians were equally ecstatic about the victory:

Andreescu will play Serena Williams at the U.S. Open Finals on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 4:00 p.m. The two have a history, so it is bound to be an exciting match. The two played each other in last month’s Rogers Cup where Williams was forced to retire in the final after only four games due to back spasms.

Here’s hoping that Bianca can pull off yet another history-making victory!
