Bridle Path In Toronto Has Been Home To So Many Celebs (VIDEOS)

Is Bridle Path the next Hollywood? Toronto has its fair share of homegrown celebs. However, they aren’t the only ones who have decided to spend extended periods of time in the city. The Bridle Path in Toronto has been home and is still home to so many A-listers.

The neighbourhood, located in North York, secludes itself from the rest of Toronto’s mundane brick homes and offers the cities elite hundreds of acres, indoor swimming pools, and in some cases, celebrity neighbours.

According to Point 2 Homes, the average price for a single-family home in the area is over $2 million.

The homes are so extravagant that some have even been used to shoot well-known films that set up production in Toronto.

Check out some of the estates Toronto’s A-listers have occupied over the years.

Elton John

Elton John and his Canadian partner David Furnish have been rumoured to own an enormous mansion just outside of Toronto. However, over the years John has been known to occupy another home in the city.

26 Park Lane Circle is a 23,000 square foot home with a 2016 value of $21.8 million. According to the National Post, it has seen multiple celebrity guests of which includes Elton John.

Richard Nixon

Richard Nixon is another celeb that occupied one of the eight bedrooms at 26 Park Lane Circle. According to the US Embassy, Nixon made 5 presidential visits to the city during his run at the Whitehouse.

Margaret Thatcher

Margaret Thatcher was no stranger to 26 Park Lane Circle’s 14 bathrooms. The late British Prime Minister spent some time at the Bridle Path estate according to the National Post.

With Canada being a part of the Commonwealth, it might not be a surprise that she spent some time within the city.

Drake recently completed the extensive construction on the mansion he scored for almost $7 million. After months of construction and battles with the Toronto court for their approval of heightened walls around the property, Top Trending on YouTube reports the estate is now worth $100 million.

The property is 35,000 square feet and includes an NBA regulation-size basketball court.

Along with hosting multiple celebs over the years, the $35 million mansion, according to the Financial Post, was also used as the set for productions like It Takes Two starring Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen and the series Suits starring Duchess Meghan Markle.

Lightfoot was born and raised a few hours outside of the city in Orillia before moving to Toronto according to his website.

Prince, like Elton John, purchased his house in the 6six after falling in love and marrying a local. In his case, it was with wife Manuela Testolini. Their Bridle Path home was lost in their divorce back in 2007.

Mick Jagger had previously rented out the property according to the National Post. Canadian singer Michael Bublé has also used the estate as a performance ground for a charity benefit hosted by the Herjavec’s.
