Jane Austen Fans Can Attend A Pride & Prejudice Themed Ball In Calgary This Spring

BRB finding Mr Darcy IRL.

Ever wished that you could travel back in time to experience the elegance and decadence of English society in the 1700s? You can actually do that here in Canada without a passport or a time machine. Calgary is having Pride & Prejudice Ball this Spring and it's perfect for Jane Austen fans!

Nosh on hors d'oeuvres, tuck into dinner and enjoy dancing throughout the evening with other fans who want to get lost in the Jane Austen world! Lots of people come solo and there will be many eligible partners to choose from. You're literally going to find all the other introverted, sensitive types who dream of simple English country life or of finding their own Mr Darcy!

To prepare for the ball, you can attend dance classes and watch tutorials online to brush up on your footwork. The more practice you get in, the more fun you'll have at the ball dancing the evening away. There's also a dress code you'll have to follow but you'll definitely want to rent or DIY a bomb costume for this event! Also, if you're in BC and want to fan out to Jane Austen the most hardcore way possible, then there's also a Pride & Prejudice themed ball in Victoria this Spring.

There are also a few dance classes in the lead up to the big day that you can attend for around $25 each. You can't have your phone in the ballroom for historical accuracy, but there will be a professional photographer throughout the night.
