This Calgary Neighbourhood Is Turning Into Diagon Alley For A Day And It's Going To Be Magical

Calling all Harry Potter fans!

Ever wanted to visit Diagon Alley? Now's your chance. July 30th is the 2nd Annual Spend A Day In Kensington's Diagon Alley. Last year's event was such a success, they decided to continue the magical tradition.

From 10 AM to 5:30 PM, you can unleash your inner wizard while you enjoy the day's festivities. Did we mention, it's completely FREE?! No matter whether you're Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, or Slytherin, there's sure to be something you'll enjoy.

Many Kensington restaurants partake in this Harry Potter themed event, serving special treats like the infamous butter beer. Why not sip on some while you relax on a patio?

A lot of people go all out for this event, so don't be afraid to dress up in your house colours. An interesting enough costume might even win you a prize in the costume contest! 


Other events this year include a Quidditch match in the Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Association park, as well as a live music stage. The event holders also promise plenty of surprises that you'll want to be there to witness. 

Don't forget to save the date: July 30th from 10 AM to 5:30 PM. Admission is free, but you may want to bring some cash so you can purchase some merch, or treat yourself to some butter beer.
