A Massive Italian Food Festival Is Coming To Vancouver

Get ready to fiesta!

Ask anyone what their favourite cuisine is, and eight times out of ten, they'll answer with 'Italian food'. Pasta, pizza, cheese, tiramisu, what could be better?

A street festival dedicated entirely to celebrating Italian culture is returning to Vancouver, where the entire street will be transformed into a lively 14 block fiesta!

Organised by the Italian Day Festival Society, Italian Day on The Drive is a vibrant cultural festival held on Commercial Drive, home to Little Italy.

Since Italian Day's beginning in 2010, the event represents the largest one-day cultural street festival in Vancouver - and perhaps in Canada, with an estimated 300,000 attendees of all ages and cultures.

The festival will have over 150 street participants comprising of merchants, vendors, and community organisations, and will feature live music, patios, fashion, retail vendors, activities, children zones, and most importantly, food!

Music will be a centrepiece theme of this year's festival, an important part of Italian culture and heritage. The 2018 festival will transport attendees to villages, streets, and piazzas of Italy - full of song, dance, and life - by showcasing local and national artists from Italy.

Italian Day on The Drive will be held on Sunday, June 10 from 12pm till 8pm. Commercial Drive will be closed to vehicle traffic, and parking in surrounding areas will be limited!
