There's A New Hidden Restaurant You Never Knew Of Inside This Gastown Cafe
We love hidden treasures.
If you're a fan of pasta, pizza, cheese and basically all things Italian, then you are absolutely going to love this new Gastown cafe, scratch that, restaurant. Actually, it's both.
Just opened earlier this month is the new Italian restaurant/cafe di Beppe. When you first walk through the entrance, you'll step right into the cafe side. They will be serving casual Italian baked goods, meatballs and sausage sandwiches, and coffee... and trust us, it'll be good coffee because the owners of Revolver will be taking care of the espresso bar.
But just in the corner of the cafe, you will see a mysterious yellow-framed door with black curtains draped down the sides. You might be hesitant to enter at first because it looks rather exclusive. But don't be shy because the staff at di Beppe will welcome you with open arms into their sexy, hidden restaurant dining area.
Keeping with the casual Italian theme, the restaurant side of di Beppe will be serving a simple but classic menu curated by the former Ask For Luigi chef de cuisine, Letitia Wan, consisting of pizzas and all of your favourite pastas and lasagnas - perfect for carbing up this winter season.
And might I add, the interior is absolutely stunning. A little mix of rustic, hip and antique that makes for the perfect place to have a cozy winter night's dinner with your bae or your besties.
di Beppe is located 2 West Cordova and is open Wednesday to Sunday from 5PM to 10PM. Please take note that they will be closed December 24 to 26, and January 1 to 2 for the holidays, and they will only be taking walk-ins until further notice.
